Job Description


We are working with a well-established client who are looking for a Part Time HR Administrator to join their team. The Part Time HR Administrator would be joining a nurturing and supportive team who work in varied roles. Located in a peaceful setting, the workplace is still vibrant and busy and offers a great potential for personal growth.

This is a new and exciting role to support the HR function as the organisation experiences growth and change supporting a staffing group of around 90. The role will be focused on the day-to-day administration of a busy HR department. This role is 20 hours per week with flexible working patterns considered.

Key Responsibilities:

HR
  • General administrative support for human resources processes from recruitment right through to leavers
  • Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, i.e. employment contracts
  • Pre-Employment checks
  • Creating new starter packs and on boarding administration
  • Safeguarding \xe2\x80\x93 Support administrative processes for DBS.
  • Updating company policies to ensure legal compliance in conjunction with our external HR support partner
  • Assist with Training and Personal Development.
  • Communicate changes across all departments as and when required.
  • Day to day management of the HR system BrightHR
  • Creating, updating and maintaining Employee Files
  • Maintaining Training Records
  • Assisting with payroll by providing the Finance department with relevant employee information such as absence and anomalies to contractual hours
  • Being the first point of contact for employees on HR related queries
  • Being a note taker in meetings
  • Preparing monthly reports on HR metrics
ARCHIVES
  • Liaise with Archivist re requirements for Archives in relation to employee files.
PROCUREMENT & BUDGETS
  • Ad hoc procurement and assisting in developing budgets, in line with policies and procedures
EDUCATION / TRAINING
  • Participating in training on site or at external locations as required.
  • Updating skills and knowledge as per legal requirements
The post holder may be required to carry out other duties appropriate to the post as assigned by the head of HR.

Experience and Skills Requirements
  • Previous administration experience
  • Working in a human resource department or a desire to work in a human resources department.
  • Demonstrated excellence attention to detail and highly organised.
  • A self-starter, working well within a team and on own initiative
  • High computer literacy - Microsoft Office - Excel and Word
  • Excellent communicative and relationship building skills at all levels
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Good listening and retention skills
  • Ability to use initiative, take responsibility and be self-motivated
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to respond to the broad range of tasks involved in the role
  • A high level of confidentiality, honesty, discretion and reliability
