We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth running of meal preparation. Who We Are:
A busy successful independent coffee shop on Whiteladies Road. We pride ourselves on fantastic friendly service, easy going atmosphere and a great range of food and coffee. We are also the HQ and Creative Centre for Think Drinks -the UK's leading indie producer of Cocktail mixes and ingredients. We are open daily but not in the evenings.
Who You Are:
We are looking for a hard working person with a genuine passion for food. You will have a keen eye for detail, understand food hygiene and specs.
You will be working alongside our Head of Food, creating delicious sandwiches, toasties, and counter goods for all our hungry customers.
You will need to be a first class communicator and self motivating. We are a small and friendly team, always looking for input on how to set ourselves apart from the rest!
This position is open to students, however only if you will be staying in Bristol over any term breaks or holiday periods.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Assist in stocking inventory and monitoring supplies
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation
- Help with dishwashing and cleaning duties as required
Skills:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is a plus
