We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-time Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with meal preparation and food safety practices. Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking and meal assembly. Support chefs and cooks by performing basic cooking tasks and food preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils. Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to, including proper storage and handling of food items. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed. Participate in the cleaning of kitchen equipment and work surfaces after use. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Capability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
