Overview

We are seeking a passionate individual to join our culinary team as a kitchen assistant with the ability to accomplish simple cooking tasks. Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients Cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards Support the team in cleaning and maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times Prepare ingredients and meals efficiently during busy service periods Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner when required Assist with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste Follow health and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices preferable but not essential due to training given Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends A genuine interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills
