Due to our continued growth, we have an opportunity for the development of a Landscaper role at our client's shopping centre premises located in Newton Mearns Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities

Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance

Maintain all planted areas, lawns, trees, and shrubs within the shopping centre premises.

Carry out planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, watering, and pest as required.

Operate and maintain gardening tools, machinery, and equipment safely.

Ensure external areas are tidy, free from litter, and visually appealing at all times.

Support seasonal landscaping projects and Internal projects.

Other Duties

Other duties may involve ad hoc cleaning/waste processing/handyman during down time or winter months if time allows, though not to the detriment of main landscaping duties.

Assist with winter maintenance snow clearing/ gritting etc.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Adhere to all health and safety policies, including safe use of chemicals and machinery.

Adhere to all provided risk assessments/method statements for all tasks carried out.

Report maintenance issues, hazards, or incidents to the Facilities Manager promptly.

Skills:

Full driving licence required.

Proficiency in using landscaping tools and equipment.

Strong physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks.

Attention to detail for maintaining the aesthetics of landscapes.

Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients.

Hours

20 hours weekly to be carried out over 5 days (Mon - Friday) during the hours of 8-5 This can be flexible to suit the candidate's needs.

Note: Prior experience in landscaping or related field is preferred and is an advantage, though training will be provided for candidates looking to upskill into a Gardening/Landscaper position.
