Work for Avenue Nursery Forest School Ltd.

We are looking for a special person to join our team to help us deliver high quality experiences. We are a Forest School for children from the age of 3. We are looking for a skilled early year's educator to join our dedicated team. Do you have what it takes to join our motivational early years setting, where staff, children and families are highly valued?

Avenue Nursery and Forest School has exceptionally high standards to maintain. We have a long-standing reputation within the community. You would need to be flexible and reliable, work as a member of the team and able to use your initiative. A love of the outdoors and nature is essential.

We are looking for a level 2/3 early years qualification with experience. You will need, or be prepared to complete, the following requirements;

Current DBS Certificate and register on the update service. Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Children. Food hygiene Level 2.

As well as this you will need to ;

Have a passion for Outdoor Learning and embrace all weathers.

Be approachable and friendly, able to give warm hugs and high fives. Be imaginative and creative. To be a pirate, princess or scary monster. Create something amazing with only sticks and leaves or a cardboard box. Share a story again and again (with interruptions) and still be animated and excited. Keep calm and smile through spilt drinks, toileting accidents, those unexpected moments. Able to deal with and comfortably discuss bodily functions . Be confident enough to sing or be daft if the occasion arises. Able to be and do all of these things whatever the weather and truly embrace outdoor play. To feel cherished and cherish the children and their families

Finally you will need to be reliable, flexible, resourceful and creative. Able to use your initiative. A team player who both contributes and embraces ideas, accepting challenge and change to practice and provision on a regular basis. Facilitating both adult and children's learning, with a high regard of play and the outdoors.
