to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who has worked within the food manufacturing industry and is looking for a more flexible schedule while continuing to apply their expertise in a hands-on, technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on a range of food processing and packaging machinery.
Carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Support production teams with quick and safe resolution of equipment issues.
Maintain accurate service records and comply with health and safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a machine engineer or maintenance engineer in the
food manufacturing industry
.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Knowledge of health & safety and food safety standards in manufacturing environments.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities during limited on-site days.
Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent) preferred.
