Nursery Administrator - Part time, can fit in with School hours!Location: Bury St EdmundsKidsplay Childcare are committed to providing top quality childcare for all ages. We are the fastest growing childcare provider in the South East, with 7 sites in Milton Keynes, as well as venues in Bury St Edmunds, Leighton Buzzard, Kettering, Buckingham, St Albans and London.We are now looking for an experienced and confident Administrator on a part time basis, to cover Maternity in this 9-12 month role. The role is to help streamline the nursery administration processes, ensuring that highest level service is provided to the customer, whilst supporting the business to provide a happy safe, secure and stimulating environment in which the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development of the children is taken in to full account.This position is part time, working 3 days per week from 9:30am - 2:30pm on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This position is due to start ASAP. Due to these "school friendly" hours, and our generous childcare benefits, could possibly suit a return to work parent?Please do note that this position is all year round, and not term time only though.Roles/Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining family and account records on the nursery computer programme (Parenta), for which training will be provided.
  • Maintaining accurate staff employment records, including the collection of references.
  • Collection of fees including the administration of Childcare vouchers, pursuing outstanding fees and resolving any account queries.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential staff, children's and parent's records.
  • Sending reports to Head Office as appropriate and approved by Nursery Manager.
  • Liaising with Nursery Manager and Head Office with general employee administration.
  • Preparing banking.
  • Sending authorised invoices to Head Office for payment. Applying to Head Office for authorised refunds.
  • Preparing payroll information weekly & monthly through our computer based Kronos system.
  • Keeping petty cash records.
  • Welcoming parents, children and visitors.
  • To show prospective parents around the nursery.
  • Ordering from suppliers.
  • Note take, record meetings of minutes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with exceptional administration, and customer service skills. You will be a quick and efficient worker, and be fully conversant with MS Office packages and programmes (good Excel skills are a must), and have previously worked with various Software Packages. Experience with Parenta and/or KRONOS systems would be an advantage.Kids Play Childcare is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
