We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of our nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires a passion for early childhood education and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and children.
Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's development and learning.
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Support the lead nursery staff in maintaining a clean and organised environment.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Help with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Skills
Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
A nurturing attitude towards childcare, demonstrating patience and empathy.
