As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supervising kitchen staff to maintain a high level of hospitality and service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. Ensure that all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols. Maintain equipment and kitchen tools, ensuring they are in good working order.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create diverse dishes. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing food production processes. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to help others develop their skills in the kitchen.
