Utopia are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and organised part time receptionist to join our well established and multi-award winning team on a part time basis. Our Abingdon location has recently moved into a brand NEW salon in the town centre!
Utopia offers a wide range of beauty services including hair removal, massage therapy, advanced skin treatments, blemish removal, piercing, body contouring, nail treatments and lash & brow treatments. We have a small retail space selling high-end beauty products and are proud of our 5reputation.
A strong interest in the beauty/spa/hair industry is paramount, and experience in the industry would be ideal. Candidates must also be willing to learn about the products and treatments on offer, with the possibility of training provided.
The position involves the use of a comprehensive computerised booking system, so strong IT skills will be required. Candidates must also have good communication skills and be confident face-to-face and on the phone.
The position's duties involve -
Taking and dealing with client bookings in a professional and swift manner
Organising bookings for two salon sites
Processing arrivals and departures
Processing patch test and patch test history
Answering telephone and email enquiries promptly and professionally
Meeting and greeting clients and customers
Checking and updating client medical history in a sympathetic manner
Dealing with in-salon and online sales and taking accurate payments
General administrative duties
Ensuring the front of house and retail area is maintained to a clean and safe standard

Candidates must be well presented at all times, with an excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills. Must be able to work well in a team and work to their own initiative. Evenings are essential, with the hours consisting of:
Wednesdays 2pm - 7pm
Thursdays 9am - 7pm
Fridays 9am - 6pm
Requirements:

Previous customer facing role or reception experience (preferred)
High standard of personal appearance
Previous experience in the beauty/spa/hair industry would be advantageous
There will be opportunities to add extra hours to cover annual leave. Full reception training will be given. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for a permanent role. Temporary roles will not be considered at this stage.
