Job Description

Tom Martin & Company Limited are a long-established non-ferrous metals processing company based in Walton Summit and have a vacancies for the role of part-time baling machine operative / yard operative.

This is a permanent position and is on a fixed shift pattern :

16.30 - 21.45 Mon - Thurs

15.30 - 19.45 Fri

The successful candidate would ideally have experience in a manufacturing / production / recycling environment.

A current counter-balance FLT licence would be a distinct advantage, although this is not essential.

The position offers 22 flexible days of holiday (pro-rata) and all standard Bank Holidays (under normal circumstances)

The business closes between Christmas and New Year. Those with 6 months service by Christmas Day will be paid during this shutdown with no requirement to use holiday entitlement to cover, those with less than 6 months service will need to use holiday entitlement from their flexible days if they want to be paid for the days which aren't Bank Holidays.

The basic rate of pay for this position is 12.21 per hour for all age categories.

Additionally a monthly bonus of 100 for full attendance is paid on all shift patterns.

Full PPE, workwear and training provided. We offer a skills based bonus payment upon the completion of training to operate certain specific equipment. This then becomes an ongoing permanent addition to your wage.

Voluntary overtime regularly available at 1.5 times basic pay.
