Position Overview:
This position is perfect for someone studying or working part-time during the day and available for around 3 hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings. You'll be responsible for officiating tag rugby matches, ensuring games are fair, fun, and full of energy!
Key Responsibilities:
Officiate 3-12 tag rugby matches per week, ensuring fair play and safety.
Manage games with confidence, while maintaining a fun and social atmosphere for players.
Apply the rules of tag rugby effectively and consistently across all games.
Help resolve any disputes on the field in a calm and constructive manner.
Promote good sportsmanship and positive behaviour amongst participants.
Ensure the game runs smoothly, including timekeeping and team management.
About You:
To thrive in this role, you will have the following skills and characteristics:
A natural leader with excellent communication skills.
Outgoing, personable, and welcoming - you'll create a fun atmosphere at every match!
A love for rugby and sport in general (any code).
Accountable, reliable, and enthusiastic, with a "can-do" attitude.
Comfortable managing conflict and resolving issues in a positive way.
A basic level of fitness to referee up to three 40-minute games per evening.
Most importantly, you believe that sport is for everyone!
