Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting with fuel sales and product selection, and ensuring that the shop floor is clean and tidy.

Over 18's only due to age related sales.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them. Process transactions accurately at the till and handle cash responsibly. Assist in merchandising and maintaining the sales floor, ensuring products are displayed attractively. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly. Attention to detail is a must.

Skills

Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions accurately. Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work solely, with the backup of team members.

This is initially a fixed term contract until 31 July 2026 but could extend. The hours are 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.

A job share will be considered - 3 days and 2 days and there will be holiday cover required occasionally.

You must be reliable and dedicated; there will be busy periods and quiet, however it is important that the shop is kept clean and stocked and all customers dealt with efficiently .
