Job Summary

Urban Carers Ltd is seeking a committed Part-Time Support Worker to support young people aged 16-18+ living in semi-independent accommodation. This role involves providing guidance, promoting independence, and helping young people build essential life skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct weekly key-working sessions Support young people with budgeting, cooking, routines & life skills Write weekly reports, daily logs & update support plans Carry out weekly property checks Liaise with social workers and council placement teams Attend online/face-to-face meetings Support young people to access education, training & appointments Maintain safeguarding and professional boundaries at all times

Requirements

Experience supporting young people (care, youth work, semi-independent, residential, support work) Strong communication and report-writing skills Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one) Ability to work independently Reliable, organised, and passionate about improving young lives Must be able to work flexibly across the week
