Job Overview

The Transport Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the transportation operations within our organisation. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective logistics management for our two vehicles , maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of IT systems related to transport management as well as a valid CPC licence and upto date training.

Duties

Manage and coordinate all transport activities to ensure timely delivery of goods. Oversee the scheduling and routing of vehicles to maximise efficiency. Maintain accurate records of transport operations using Excel and other computer software. Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, to address any issues or concerns. Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations. Develop strategies for improving transport processes and reducing costs. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints promptly. Collaborate with supply chain teams to align transport activities with overall business objectives. Train and supervise staff involved in transport operations.

Experience

Candidates should have a proven background in transport management or a related field. Key experience includes:

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in supply chain management is advantageous. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service is essential for success in this role.

Pay: From 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 3 per week
