About the role

Are you a nurse, midwife, paramedic, or other healthcare professional looking for a change? York College is offering a rewarding opportunity to join our team as a Tutor of Health and Social Care. This role is perfect for someone ready to step out of clinical practice and into a role that shapes the future of the healthcare workforce.

You'll be delivering engaging and practical teaching across the T-Level in Health, Health Apprenticeships (Levels 2 and 3), and some elements of Health and Social Care. Your real-world experience will be invaluable in helping learners develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in health and care careers.

About the Person

We're seeking a healthcare professional with a strong background in clinical or care settings-this could be in nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, or adult health and social care. You'll need to be passionate about supporting and mentoring others, with the confidence to lead both practical and classroom-based sessions.

Previous teaching experience is welcome, but not essential. If you're new to teaching, we'll support you to gain a recognised teaching qualification.
