We're currently seeking a dedicated part time Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Purton Vets. This role offers a varied caseload with a mix of consulting and surgical work. You'll be working 1.5 days per week (16 hours), with shifts scheduled between 8:30am and 7:30pm. Additionally, there is a shared weekend rota of 1 in 4 Saturdays, from 8:30am to 1:00pm, which involves consulting only. No out-of-hours or on-call duties - ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

You will be working alongside 3 other Veterinary Surgeons, 5 qualified Veterinary Nurses, an SVN and a dedicated Reception Team.

About Us
We are a well-equipped, family friendly small animal practice on the edge of the Cotswolds. We are surrounded by lots of countryside, lakes with water sports and have shopping centres and restaurants within close proximity. We are passionate about our fear-free approach towards our patients and how we utilise our nursing team. Our equipment includes; X-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, dental X-ray, K-laser, and in-house lab.

We have a great team here at Purton Vets and communicate well with each other. We meet up regularly with twice daily rounds and monthly practice and clinical meetings.

Are You The Perfect Fit?
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working as part of the team. The candidate must be confident communicator and enjoy both consulting and surgery. Experience with lap spays would be advantageous but not essential. We are open to those interested in consultation only.
