The Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) Kirklees is in its second year to deliver in Kirklees.



This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the delivery of the programme in identified schools through Kirklees colleagues.



Our aim is to strengthen the knowledge and skills within mainstream schools and raise awareness of neurodiversity and how better support neurodiverse students.


The Service Offer:





Barnardo's West Yorkshire Keyworker Service is leading the delivery of the Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) Kirklees, focusing on early support and intervention to neurodivergent children and young people in their educational settings.



Barnardo's currently provide the West Yorkshire Keyworker Service and are effectively placed to deliver this additional programme of work.


The role:





As the

Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) Kirklees Worker

you will work with identified schools in Kirklees to offer a range of workshops to families.


Delivering groupwork sessions to parents/carers:




You will be experienced in delivering training and will deliver groupwork sessions that the Barnardo's team developed in year 1 of the programme and will deliver these 6 sessions to a further 10 primary schools. You will work with the 14 primary schools supported in year 1 and offer opportunities to support attendance at community of practice sessions as well as offer guidance and advice as needed.

Working in collaboration with school staff:




There will also be the opportunity to deliver staff workshops where there is identified needs. You will work with staff in schools to positively enhance the experience of transition and early support for neurodivergent students.

Working with parents/carers




You will work with PCAN, the Kirklees Parent and Carer Forum to support parents and carers and their identified needs. Work with the Neurodevelopment Family Navigators and Neurodevelopmental Connectors in Kirklees and work collaboratively to offer early support.
