The Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated
Parts Advisor
to join our parts team. This is a varied and hands-on position that offers the opportunity to gain experience across several areas of the business, including customer support, supplier liaison, logistics coordination, and general administration.
Experience in the
commercial vehicle sector
or a
parts-based role
would be a strong advantage. However, we're equally interested in candidates with strong IT skills, a willingness to learn, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
This is a
full-time, Monday to Friday position, with standard working hours of 8:30 - 17:00
, however, we are open to discussing reduced hours or part-time working for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Assist customers in identifying the correct parts required for their vehicle
Communicate with manufacturers and suppliers via phone and email to verify part details
Provide accurate quotations to customers and follow up as required
Raise purchase orders for non-stocked items and liaise with suppliers regarding delivery options
Issue picking notes for in-stock items to the warehouse team
Collect parts from local suppliers (company vehicle provided)
Provide proof of delivery (POD) documents upon customer request
Process supplier invoices, cross-checking against purchase orders and goods received
Raise and resolve queries with suppliers regarding overcharges, shortages, or delivery issues
Assist with stock-related admin, including inventory tracking and basic stock movements
Provide general administrative support across the parts department as required
Working Hours
8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
No weekend work
Part-time or reduced hours may be considered for the right candidate
Candidate Requirements
Strong IT skills and confident working with Microsoft Office and internal systems
Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner
Well organised with high attention to detail
Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Full UK driving licence (required)
Right to work in the UK
Desirable Experience
Previous experience in the
commercial vehicle sector
or a
parts-based environment
Familiarity with
Sage 200
,
Protean Software
, or other parts/inventory software
Background in logistics, supply chain, or technical customer service
