Job Summary



Trainee Protection Adviser (Part-Time with Self-Employed option after 6 months) - 15 hours per week @ 12.50 ph. (WFH flexibility once you are up and running and familiar with the systems and processes)



Location: Colchester (must be within 30 minutes travel of Stanway)


Part-Time Initially | Transition to Self-Employed | Full Training Provided

The Opportunity



This role is ideal for someone who wants to

retrain or return to work

with flexibility at the start, but with ambition to grow into a self-employed adviser role with uncapped earning potential.

Phase 1 (0-6 months):



Part-time

administration duties

- supporting advisers with case management, data entry, client documents, and compliance processes. Exposure to protection products (life, critical illness, income protection and business protection) and the advice process. Hands-on learning while working closely with senior adviser/business owner.

Phase 2 (from 6 months):



Transition into a

Trainee Protection Adviser

role with structured training. Conduct client fact-finds, assess protection needs, and prepare recommendations. Build confidence and skills under supervision, with ongoing mentoring.

Phase 3 (longer-term):



Move into

self-employed Protection Adviser

status. Manage your own client base, develop referral networks, and grow your income. Access to ongoing training, compliance support, and product updates.

What We're Looking For



Strong organisational skills and attention to detail (ideal for the admin phase). Excellent communication skills with a client-focused mindset. Self-motivated and ambitious, with a desire to progress into advising. Previous experience in financial services, administration, or customer service is beneficial but not essential.
