Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organised workspace will contribute to the overall success of our establishment. You will be required to work under your own initiative.

Duties to include;

- Making a whole range of coffee's, milkshakes, bubble teas and frappes.

- Opening & closing of the shop.

- Till operation, customer service and preparation.

- Making toasties and basic sandwiches.

- Be allergen aware.

- Be clean and tidy during your shift.

- End of day clean down.

- Restocking and back stock management.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items are made to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.

Skills

Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively. Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks during peak hours. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience in food preparation is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition to enhance customer interactions.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 11.44-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
