We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the organisation's accounting functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in bookkeeping and experience with various accounting software programmes. The successful applicant will play a vital part in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our organisation.
Duties
Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is correctly entered and up-to-date
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by helicopter owners
Assist with payroll processing and related documentation
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Liaise with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation
Basic HR administration
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an organisational setting
Proficiency in accounting software is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are desirable but not essential
This position offers a rewarding opportunity for organised professionals passionate about maintaining precise financial records within a supportive team environment.
In the first instance it will be 2 days per week totalling five and half hours per day whilst the job is handed over from the person retiring and then after 2 months it will increased to an estimated 22 hours per week.
The hours can be flexible between 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday working a minimum of 4 days per week.
