Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation and service. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that our cafe runs smoothly and efficiently. Must be available for weekends.

Responsibilities

Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude, providing excellent hospitality at all times Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including dining areas, kitchen, and service counters Operate coffee machines and other equipment to prepare beverages, demonstrating barista skills when required Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is highly desirable Catering experience is an advantage but not mandatory Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Barista experience is beneficial for those interested in beverage preparation A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.40-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
