Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist with the preparation, delivery and serving of food and drink. This may include the preparation of ingredients, the laying of tables, the setting-up and clearance of service and dining areas, general cleaning and washing-up duties and the storage of deliveries. The jobholder may also operate a till, cash register or similar.

Duties

To assist in the provision of school meals

To assist with the preparation, cooking, production and serving of food, and with clearing and cleaning, including occasional in-depth cleaning, and cleaning spillages in the dining room.

To assist in overseeing sales and ensuring correct procedures for the school's cashless dining system are followed.

To take responsibility for the standard of cleanliness and hygiene of premises and equipment.

To maintain high standards of kitchen and personal hygiene and health and safety and operate to the school's Health and Safety Policy.

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering or food service is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Experience in food preparation, serving, and handling, along with knowledge of food safety regulations.

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
