We are a small, friendly firm of consulting structural and civil engineers seeking a
Finance & Credit Controller
to take full responsibility for our day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on, standalone role suited to someone experienced, organised, and confident managing invoicing and payments from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue client invoices using
Xero
Monitor accounts and
follow up on overdue payments
in a professional and courteous manner
Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations in Xero
Process and pay supplier invoices
Manage and reconcile staff expenses
Handle general bookkeeping duties and monthly reporting for management
Other administration support, such as arrange occasional travel
About You:
Proficient and confident using
Xero
(essential)
Minimum
5 years' experience
in a finance, accounts, or credit control role
Excellent communication skills -- tactful, assertive, and professional with clients
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Able to work independently and take ownership of finance processes
Competent with
Microsoft Office
or Google Workspace
Desirable:
AAT qualification
or equivalent bookkeeping experience
Background in a
professional services
or small business environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12,000.00-15,000.00 per year
