Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be partnering with Social Investment Scotland in their search to appoint a Finance & Operations Assistant within their Edinburgh Head Office base on a part-time (across 21-24 hours pw), permanent and hybrid basis.

About The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role will serve to support across the various finance functions where you will play a key role in helping to shape the Accounts Payable processes, whilst supporting the Investment Team to release loan funds to customers. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance of purchase ledgers, including responsibility for payment runs.
  • Work with investment team to release loan funds to customers and ensure collection information is accurate.
  • Work with investment team on the monthly collections process.
  • Maintenance of bank accounts including processing and reconciling of bank accounts across each entity
  • Monthly reconciliation of credit card statements.
  • Support Finance and Operations Manager with operational duties, including maintenance of annual leave system, induction process etc.
  • Lead on day-to-day office management activities.
  • Support Head of Finance and Operations with Board meeting arrangements and other activities as required.
  • Answers telephone calls for operational matters.
  • May be required to support with meeting administration including taking meeting notes. .
What we\'re looking for:
  • An awareness and background knowledge of the third sector/social enterprise would be advantageous.
  • Strong experience within a similar role across Accounts payable, Credit Control & Cash & Banking.
  • Excellent IT literacy with the ability to navigate through various Finance systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills; ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work on own initiative, without ongoing supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible approach.
  • Strong positive attitude and an ability to find creative and flexible solutions.
  • Resilient when faced with challenges and deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly develop good working relationships with colleagues.
