Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The successful candidate will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of food from the kitchen to our dining guests. The Food Runner will work closely with kitchen and restaurant teams to uphold our high standards of service and food safety.

Responsibilities

Deliver prepared dishes promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guests' tables, ensuring presentation standards are maintained. Assist in organising and refilling stations to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required, adhering to food safety regulations. Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and guests to coordinate orders and special requests. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests. Ensure all food items are delivered in a timely manner, maintaining temperature and presentation quality. Assist with additional duties such as restocking supplies or assisting with minor cleaning tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food delivery is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures. Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Friendly demeanour with a genuine passion for guest services and team collaboration. You must be at least 18-years old as you will also be running alcoholic beverages. Experience in culinary arts, kitchen operations, or hotel services is desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
