Bookkeeper - MATERNITY COVER

Part-time & Remote

Salary Range: 23k - 26k p.a. FTE (dependant on experience)

You'll be working remotely for a Northamptonshire based bookkeeping and payroll bureau.

You'll work part-time (to cover maternity leave) and you'll get to know the rest of the team through regular online team meetings, and quarterly face to face meetings so you must be willing to travel for those, if required.

Maternity cover required is 15 hours a week within normal office hours (between 9am and
4:30pm Monday to Friday).

You will manage a portfolio of clients, handling the day-to-day bookkeeping, preparation of
VAT and CIS returns and you'll liaise with HMRC and the clients as and when required so you'll need to be a good communicator with excellent attention to detail.

Person Specification:

You'll have:

A minimum of 5 years' bookkeeping experience,

with at least 3 of these years

being in an accountancy practice or bookkeeping bureau. AAT level 4 qualified (or equivalent) In depth knowledge and recent experience of Xero is essential. Experience of using practice management software is preferable (such as
Karbon HQ, IRIS, Accountancy Manager)

Knowledge of the construction industry is preferable. Excellent attention to detail and great organisational skills in order to plan efficiently and meet deadlines Highly computer literate (Windows, MS Office, Outlook and Teams) The ability to communicate in English fluently
