Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly to support ongoing kitchen operations. Help with the storage of food items and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and labelling. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating as required. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred; experience in restaurants or hotels is advantageous. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is beneficial. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and providing excellent service to guests. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills within the culinary field.
