Part-Time Physical Product Designer / Mechanical Engineer (Self-Employed, 2 Days/Week)

We are looking for a talented

Physical

Product Designer / Mechanical Engineer

to join our team on a

part-time, self-employed basis (2 days per week)

to work on consumer products / electronics

Office location in

Sherborne, Dorset

UK

(meetings and some work will be at this location)

where concepts go through development to manufacture

What we're looking for:

Strong background in

product design and mechanical engineering

with degree in product design or equivalent. Candidates without degree but relevant real-world experience will also be considered. Ability to take concepts through to

practical, manufacturable solutions

Experience working with & managing engineering drawings Experience with designing for named manufacturing process such as injection moulding Experience with Solidworks CAD software Self-motivated and comfortable working independently Good attention to detail Available

2 days per week

on a freelance/self-employed basis Have UK driving licence & car / own transport
