Fridays

150 per day

8.30am to 5pm.

The Role:


As a Music Teacher providing PPA cover, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' musical development while supporting positive behaviour in the classroom. Your role will be instrumental in delivering engaging music lessons and maintaining a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Plan and deliver

dynamic, engaging, and creative music lessons

across all year groups, incorporating

piano, guitar, vocal harmony

, and other musical elements tailored to students' diverse interests and abilities. Teach

Music PPA lessons

across the school, ensuring that each class receives high-quality, enjoyable, and structured music education. Lead

singing assemblies

that inspire confidence, teamwork, and a love for performance among pupils. Run

after-school music clubs

focused on

instrumentation and ensemble work

, encouraging creativity and collaboration. Provide

hands-on instruction

in piano and guitar techniques, supporting students in developing instrumental proficiency through targeted exercises and varied repertoire. Lead

singing sessions

, helping students build their skills in blending voices, harmonising melodies, and performing with confidence. Implement

effective behaviour management strategies

to maintain a

positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

where all students feel valued, respected, and motivated to participate. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure alignment with the school's

music curriculum, educational goals, and whole-school ethos

Requirements:



Essential:

Minimum

2+ years of UK primary music teaching experience

, with a strong and proven understanding of

behaviour management principles and strategies

. Must be

extremely experienced

in managing classrooms and able to handle

challenging behaviour

with a

firm but fair approach

, maintaining authority while being approachable,

creative, and fun

. Proficient in

piano, guitar, vocal harmony, and music theory

, with the ability to teach these areas effectively to students of varying ages and abilities. Excellent

communication and interpersonal skills

, capable of engaging, inspiring, and motivating pupils from a range of backgrounds. A

flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic

approach to teaching, with the ability to tailor lessons to meet the needs of individual learners and whole classes alike. A genuine

passion for music education

and a commitment to fostering a

lifelong love of music

in every student. Must hold a

valid and up-to-date DBS certificate
