Position Overview:
The Harper Clinic, a private medical clinic, is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable doctor to join Dr. Shahzadi Harper's team on a part-time basis, ideally for 2 to 4 sessions per week. This role involves both online consultations and face-to-face appointments, focusing on providing comprehensive care for women experiencing perimenopause, menopause, weight issues, and midlife health needs. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in weight loss injections, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), testosterone prescribing, and a holistic approach to women's health, emphasising lifestyle modifications and appropriate supplements. Salary is to be discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Comprehensive Patient Care:
- Provide a holistic approach to health, addressing hormonal imbalances, weight management, and overall well-being for women in perimenopause and menopause.
- Conduct personalised consultations that incorporate the latest knowledge in menopause management, HRT, and weight loss strategies.
2. Weight Management:
- Prescribe and manage weight loss injections, ensuring patients are well-informed about their options and the associated benefits.
- Advise patients on effective lifestyle measures to support weight management and enhance overall health.
3. Hormone Replacement Therapy:
- Assess and prescribe HRT and testosterone therapy tailored to individual patient needs, following best practices and guidelines.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to treatments, making adjustments as necessary.
4. Holistic Health Guidance:
- Recommend suitable lifestyle changes and dietary supplements to improve patients' health and quality of life.
- Create a supportive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their health concerns and goals.
5. Patient Communication:
- Establish strong, empathetic relationships with patients, ensuring they feel heard and valued throughout their healthcare journey.
- Clearly explain treatment options, potential side effects, and expected outcomes to empower patients in their decision-making.
6. Continuous Learning and Collaboration:
- Stay updated on the latest research and developments in menopause and women's health to provide evidence-based care.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree and current GMC medical licence to practise. Up to date with Appraisal.
- Strong background in women's health, particularly in menopause management and weight loss interventions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Proven ability to provide empathetic and patient-centred care.
- Knowledge of lifestyle measures and supplements effective for midlife health.
