Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-time Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial viability of projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control principles and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing cost estimates for projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing regular updates to management. Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for potential savings or efficiencies. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure financial objectives are met. Prepare reports detailing financial performance and forecasts for ongoing projects. Review contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with financial terms. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience in quantity surveying or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of cost control methods and practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Proficient in relevant software applications for cost estimation and project management. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with stakeholders. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is advantageous but not essential.
