Hello Hackney! This buzzing practice in the heart of East London has a real gem of a role for an RVN looking for part-time hours.

About your new role!

One of our fabulous RVNs is off on their travels, and this has created a 3-day week position for an RVN who loves the pace of a hospital, but the environment of a branch.



Our Hackney practice is one of our busiest in the group, and we now work closely with our consult only clinic in Highbury to support them with their advanced surgical cases. This busy and diverse "mini hub" is looking at further investment in diagnostic imaging facilities, to help support our expansive and varied caseload.



The practice boasts two consulting rooms, a large prep and theatre area, separate cat and dog wards and a well utilised lab area.

This role could be ideal for an RVN who is looking to move away from full-time locum work giving you the opportunity to take advantage of permanent benefits and stability. It may also provide free time to indulge in hobbies or volunteering or supporting other practices with additional shifts at your preference.

This part-time role involves working 8-hour shifts every Monday to Wednesday and averages to 26.8 hours per week, inclusive of a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation. In addition to 1 bank holiday per year at Wanstead Hospital.

As we are also looking for a maternity cover on Thursdays and Fridays from the new year, this can provide the opportunity to explore options, such as combining the 2 roles or mixing the days up!

You will be working alongside a large support team of vets, a senior RVN, students and trainee nurses. The team thrive on their unique dynamic for laughter and pulling together on those challenging days!



Hackney is supported by Wanstead 24-hour Veterinary Hospital, where your patients will receive impeccable OOH and specialist care when needed.



You will also be fully supported by a dedicated regional manager.



Location wise, you are just a 6-minute hop and skip away from London Fields Overground station, which takes you all over North and East London, with connections enabling you to reach further out.

The salary band for this part-time role inclusive of weekend hours is

21,440 to 23,450 (32,000 to 35,000 FTE)

depending on prior experience.
