The Role



We are recruiting for

two part-time Residential Support Workers

to join our team in

Dromore

, working in a large detached, well-equipped home that currently supports

one young person aged between 6-11

. The home follows a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach grounded in

safety, structure, and support

.

These are

21.5-hour per week contracts

, with a

fixed, rotating shift pattern between two people

, offering both

consistency

and

flexibility

Shift pattern:



Weekdays:

5:00pm - 10:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Weekends:

1:00pm - 10:00pm (Saturday & Sunday)
This structured rota ensures a healthy

work-life balance

while enabling high-quality, relational care for our young people.

What You'll Be Doing



Building meaningful, consistent relationships

with young people -- becoming a trusted adult they can rely on.

Supporting recovery from trauma

by creating safe routines, setting healthy boundaries, and using co-regulation to help manage emotions.

Applying your understanding

of attachment theory, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and trauma-informed models to guide your daily practice.

Contributing to care planning and decision-making

alongside your team -- your voice and insight will help shape the direction of support.

Providing calm, compassionate responses

during times of crisis, helping young people feel safe, seen, and supported.

Collaborating with professionals, families, and our in-house MDT

to ensure a joined-up, holistic approach to care.

Recording observations and interventions

clearly and accurately, in line with safeguarding expectations and regulatory standards.

What You'll Need



Essential:



Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Health & Social Care, Youth Work or a related field Minimum 1 year of experience in residential childcare or with looked-after children NISCC registration (or willingness to register before start) Full UK driving licence

Desirable:



Training in therapeutic or trauma-informed care Degree Qualified or Post Graduate in Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology or similar Confidence in shift leadership and key working

Terms & Benefits



Contract:

Part-Time (21.5 hrs/week), Permanent

Salary:

Pro rata 26,500-32,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Location:

Dungiven (in-person)

Shift Pattern:

Set rota (Evenings & Weekends), shared between 2 staff members
