Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our sales operations and enhancing customer satisfaction. This position requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with product inquiries and provide knowledgeable advice on merchandise. Be able to advise on different suits, fabrics, fits, styles and proficiently measure customers for hire and ready to wear suits available in store. Eventually be able to host 'Initial Suit Consultations' when required to establish which service best meets the customer's needs. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale. Make and serve drinks from the onsite showroom bar. Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked. Handle customers with professionalism, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance overall store performance. Participate in inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts. Attend Wedding Fayres around the local region to help promote brand awareness and secure bookings.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail, sales, hospitality or bar work is preferred but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. A warm, welcoming and confident demenor. Exceptional telephone manner and previous calendar management. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required. Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to retain product knowlege and use this to help guide customers where appropriate. An interest in fashion, the wedding industry or personal styling is advantageous but not essential. Own transport would be adventageous, any off-site millage would be reinbursed. A uniform allowance will be available after sucessfull completion of a probation period.
This position will require Saturday availability between 9-5pm, ocassionally you may be required to work ocassional Sundays with plenty of notice. Extra cover may be required during annual leave periods for other staff members.

This position would be an ideal part time addition to somebody studying textiles or fashion with previous customer sales experience.
