Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for part-time security officers to join the team at a new African restaurant in Birmingham. We are looking for committed professionals with a strong understanding of security, excellent knowledge of the field, and the ability to handle challenges and diffuse conflicts effectively.

Hours: 13 - 20 per week

Pay: 13.00 - 14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Friday:

6:00 PM - until close (After Midnight)

Saturday:

6:00 PM - Until close (After Midnight)

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year's security experience in a similar role Must have a UTR number (self-employed) or be willing to register for one - we cannot accept students or those on student visas. Knowledge of African culture or the ability to speak an African language is highly desirable. This role requires fluency in at least one African language, as our team works with diverse communities and events. Valid SIA licence (Door Supervisor) A car and a full UK driving licence are a strong advantage Strong communication skills in English Reliability, professionalism, and teamwork are essential

Duties include:

Managing the door and crowd at all times Observing and handling conflicts effectively Providing excellent customer service and welcoming guests Supporting the restaurant team with security as required Remaining active, alert, and professional throughout the shift
