13-14 per hour (depending on experience) - 20 hours per week

Location: Coulsdon, Surrey

We're looking for a

skilled, detail-driven, and creative individual

to join our growing clothing and swimwear brand as our very first

self employed

team member!

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong technical ability, a love for garment-making, and the ambition to grow alongside an emerging, independent label. If you're passionate about quality, sustainability, and small-batch fashion, we'd love to hear from you.

Your day-to-day will include:

Confidently using a variety of machines (overlocker, coverstitch, sewing machine) as well as hand-sewing when needed Assisting with

pattern cutting

,

sampling

, and the production of high-quality final garments Helping to bring

new collections to life

, from early concept development to final pieces Carefully

packing online orders

with attention to presentation and detail Keeping an eye on

stock levels

and helping to prioritise tasks for smooth studio workflow Managing your time effectively and meeting deadlines independently Working from our studio in Coulsdon - with the company of a small team (and occasionally, a couple of very sweet dogs)

We're looking for someone who:

Has professional experience in sewing and

garment construction

(minimum 2-3 years) Has a perfectionist's eye - we take pride in

precision and finish

in every stitch Is self-motivated, focused, and also a great collaborator Can thrive in a relaxed, creative space, but manage

busy periods

with ease Is genuinely passionate about

sustainable fashion

and creating thoughtfully made, high-quality pieces Is comfortable supporting the full design process - from

seasonal research

to final product development

Key Requirements:

Proficient in using a range of sewing machines, including

straight stitch

,

overlocker/serger

, and

coverstitch

Strong understanding of

fabric types

(especially stretch, woven, and knit) and garment construction techniques Confident in assembling garments from start to finish (e.g. stitching panels, inserting zips, attaching waistbands, hemming, finishing) Able to follow sewing patterns and technical instructions with accuracy High level of

attention to detail

and a strong commitment to quality Reliable, organised, and able to meet production targets Familiar with standard

health & safety practices

in a sewing or studio environment
