Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating and developing athletes of all skill levels. This role involves creating training programmes, leading practice sessions, and fostering a positive and motivating environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective coaching strategies tailored to the needs of individual athletes and teams. Conduct regular training sessions, ensuring that all participants are engaged and learning effectively. Educate athletes on the rules, techniques, and strategies of the sport. Monitor the progress of athletes, providing constructive feedback to enhance their performance. Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among all participants. Organise and oversee competitive events, ensuring that all logistical aspects are managed effectively. Maintain a safe training environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding athlete development and progress.

Requirements

Proven experience in sports coaching or a related field is essential. A minimum of FA Level 1 in Coaching Football, or sport equivalent. Strong knowledge of the sport being coached, including rules, techniques, and strategies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate athletes. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required for training sessions and competitions. A passion for sports and a commitment to fostering a love for physical activity among participants.
