This position is for a part-time position, 2 weekdays and a share of 1 in 3 Saturday mornings in our Corsham clinic. (9-7 and 9-12).
Additional days (holiday cover) are also available.
The role will be alongside a second vet, although successful candidates do need to be competent to work sole charge and be able to do a mixture of surgical and consult work in a small animal practice.
Days of work will include Tuesday and either Wednesday or Thursday.
You will be supported by an excellent team of RVN/ACA/receptionists and be part of a great vet team. Our vets are a mixture of very experienced and extremely talented new grad.
Peacock vets is an independent clinic and has grown a lot since opening in 2021. However, the emphasis is still on providing great value, contextualised care in the local community.
The support team has mostly been here since the practice opened.

Duties

Administer vaccinations and medications as required.
Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and other necessary operations.
Interpret laboratory results and conduct diagnostic tests to determine the best course of treatment.
Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' health, treatment options, and preventative care strategies.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education and professional development.
