We have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and dynamic food server to join our restaurant team at New Lanark Mill Hotel.

Who we are.

New Lanark Mill Hotel is unlike any other in Scotland. Originally an 18thcentury cotton mill, we offer 38 spacious and stylish bedrooms that combine traditional charm with modern convenience. We're rated four stars by VisitScotland, and have a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor. We are owned and operated by New Lanark Trust an independent Scottish Charity which is responsible for the ongoing conservation and promotion of New Lanark World Heritage Site.

Who we are looking for.

Working as part of the Food & Beverage team you will be a hard working individual who is passionate about providing great customer service. You will take pride in your personal appearance, and in your work environment too ensuring your bar is clean and tidy at all times. You will have a positive mind set and interact with our guests making them feel welcome and relaxed. You will be knowledgeable when it comes to recommending food & drink and be able to upsell at every opportunity.

What you'll need.

Key responsibilities.

- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell additional items
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns or special requests
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 8.60-12.21 per hour
