As a Server, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience to our guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. Your role will involve upselling menu items, taking orders, and collaborating with the kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food and service.
Duties
Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
Take food and drink orders accurately, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
Upsell menu items by suggesting additional dishes or beverages to enhance the dining experience.
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a high standard of presentation.
Prepare drinks, including coffees and cocktails.
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or special requests as needed.
Assist with food preparation when required, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, fostering a positive work environment.
Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions in accordance with restaurant policies.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential; enthusiasm for the role is key.
Strong guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for diners.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and calculating bills accurately.
Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary standards is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's operational needs.
