Part time job vacancies available, 10-20 hours per week (12.44 per hour)school term time only
vacancies for home to school passenger assistants
This role require full DBS checks to be completed before work can commence. This can take from 2 to 12 weeks. Immediate starts once checks are complete. (cost to be covered by employer)
Duties to include
(Assistant)
Working alongside the taxi driver transporting pupils to and from school.
Liaising with parents and teachers to pass on messages when required.
Supervising pupils during transit to ensure safety during journeys.
Ensuring safe handover of pupils to both parents and teachers.
Reporting any issues to parents, schools and management.
Attend any training as required.
Some routes may include assisting those in wheelchairs; including applying chair restraints.
Desirable Qualities
Kind and friendly manner - good relationships with our service users, parents and teachers are essential.
Reliability - our service users need consistency with their transport teams.
Punctuality - it is essential that our journeys arrive on time, every time.
Patience - Many of our service users have additional learning needs. Emotional, physical, behavioural and can display challenging behaviours.
Flexibility with hours. Pupils sometimes require collecting before their allocated times
Drivers must have held a full licence for at least 3 years with no more than 6 penalty points.
If successful, passenger assistants
will be picked up and dropped off at their home address for every journey.Considering applications from all areas of neath and port Talbot.
Monthly pay. No cash in hand.
