Pasta/pesto Kitchen Assistant
Job Description
To assist in a busy kitchen. The successful applicant will have some experience of this environment and have the enthusiasm and energy to meet production quotas while managing relevant data, for EHO and of course stock levels needed and sales projections.
Responsibilities are spread wide, from keeping a tidy ship, to being able to learn quickly and have a direct input into the production and potentially product creation/development. The day to day running will involve making and packing pesto, of which often 7-10+ are made on a weekly basis in small batches. Pasta is also made from simple ribbons and shapes, in various guises and 3 varieties of Ravioli.
The job offers a real opportunity to learn about food production for the thriving Farmers Market sector. The successful applicant will have some experience in the catering sector, have a deep love of food, with the passion of creating amazing results.
Qualifications
Food preparation experience Cooking skills Culinary background Knowledge of kitchen operations Understanding of food safety protocols Previous restaurant or catering experience Ability to assist in meal preparation and serving tasks
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.50-14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
