Pastoral Education & Employment Practitioner - London - FTC Dec 2025

We are recruiting for a social enterprise based in North London who is committed to helping and supporting girls and young women from criminal exploitation and violence. This role sits with the Participation team and the main responsibilities will be to develop key partnerships and provide pastoral, education and employment support to the young women as well as delivering weekly weekly group work sessions. You will also be providing advocacy services to those that are at risk of criminal exploitation.

The organisation is a womens only organisation and this role is exempt under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-2-1 support to young women that are engaging with the Participation team, providing pastoral, education and employment support
  • You will work with the Participation team to deliver the services 10 day accredited programme to the young women that are enrolled and to ensure they complete the programme by implementing incentives
  • Develop, maintain and secure external partnerships to provide young women to routes into employment, education or creative activities
  • Support the team to deliver training and schools work to raise awareness and bring about a culture shift in service delivery
  • Ensure that young womens voices are heard during participation sessions and also during feedback sessions
  • Maintain monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements and respond to quality assurance
  • Be involved in policy and strategy development days
Person specification and Key skills
  • Knowledge of participation theory and a commitment to participatory practise, hearing and amplifying young women\'s voices
  • Experience of developing employment, education and creative placements for young people
  • Experience of delivering successful participation projects with young people who rarely have their voices heard (grass roots projects, film making, marketing campaigns)
  • Experience of building and maintain partnerships with internal and external departments, stakeholders and organisations in the employment, education and creative sectors
  • Advocating for young people, navigating education training and employment systems
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
