We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a Pastoral Support Teaching Assistant
The successful candidate will:
Mentoring, supporting and inspiring learners by supporting them with curriculum-based learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities
Assist with the preparation of learning material and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural management
Daily reports on learners' progress and barriers to learning
Knowledge and experience in implementing trauma-informed practices to support students facing emotional challenges, ensuring they feel safe, understood, and supported
An ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external support agencies to create a holistic approach to each student's development
A genuine enthusiasm for working within an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) environment and a desire to foster positive relationships with students
Expertise in providing pastoral care that addresses the emotional, social, and academic needs of students, fostering a culture of respect and inclusion
Proven strategies and experience in behaviour management and interventions that positively influence student behaviour and learning outcomes
Our ideal candidate will have:
A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
A level 3 TA qualification is advantageous
