We're at the start of an exciting journey, and we're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our growing Alternative Provision. This is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who may have experienced challenges in mainstream education, including children in care.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work under the direction of senior staff to support the learning, wellbeing, and personal development of our pupils. You'll help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every young person can thrive.
We're a trauma-informed setting, and we provide all staff with Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training to help you confidently and safely support students through challenging situations.
We also actively promote a positive work-life balance and believe that a supported team is key to helping our young people succeed.
Key Responsibilities
? Support pupils' learning and engagement across a range of subjects
? Work under the direction of senior staff to deliver individualised support plans
? Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using a trauma-informed approach
? Assist with planning and preparing learning activities and resources
? Provide support during transitions, activities, and off-site learning experiences
? Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting trust, confidence, and self-esteem
? Support safeguarding and wellbeing procedures within the provision
