We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team at our Cafe at Grosvenor Garden Centre . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a particular emphasis on baking and pastry arts. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a crucial role in crafting delicious desserts and pastries that delight our guests.
Duties
Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food production meets quality standards and is presented attractively.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on pastry techniques and food safety practices.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food production and preparation within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on baking and pastry techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for creating high-quality desserts and an eye for detail in presentation.
