Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items Ensure all baked goods meet quality, presentation, and safety standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section, adhering to food safety regulations Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies are low Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service hours Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards within the kitchen

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, particularly in baking or pastry making Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a professional kitchen setting Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar food service environment is desirable Familiarity with culinary techniques related to baking, cooking, and food presentation Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Formal training or certification in culinary arts or patisserie is advantageous but not essential
